Kristy has been playing guitar, singing, and writing songs since the age of ten. She had her first paying gig at the age of sixteen singing at a wedding. Later that same year, she sang at her first funeral. Her band, Full House, played at the King County Fair in the summer of her sixteenth year A music career was budding.
She continued to write, sing and perform her own songs solo and with various bands throughout her teens and twenties (along with the occasional wedding or funeral). When her best friend moved to Nashville, Kristy spent time there playing at such venues as the Exit/Inn and the Bluebird Café. Her friend, Laurie, got a job writing songs for Curb Records and the two of them spent many hours writing songs for her catalog. One song they co-wrote, Falling For Me, made it onto the soundtrack of the major motion picture, Driven.
Through the 90's, Kristy could be seen playing in the Folk-Rock band, 3 Track Mind. This band released two CD's: Mighty Big Therapy and Living Room.
She headed more toward pop-rock with her band, Billy Moon, with whom she released two CD's: Storm Before The Calm and Turn. They found success as an opening band and opened for such acts as Little Feat and Crash Test Dummies, as well as second stage shows with such notables as Bob Dylan, Sting, and Cheryl Crow.
Currently there is no band in Kristy's life. However, she continues her love of writing and singing as a solo artist. In the fall of 2003 she released her first solo CD, Mother. This is a concept CD that explores Mary (Jesus' mom) as a mother and as a divine feminine presence. There is a new solo CD in the works scheduled for a fall 2005 release. This CD will be more of Kristy's signature songs about love, life and learning.
